These little jewels and the glimmering dancing background are in total contrast to the bleak and howling night, as the moon rises over Walnut Hill casting shadows over a snow-white landscape. There is one shattered charcoal shadow that tears at my heart, for it is my beloved Black Cherry torn apart by raging winds. Though now dormant, I know it must be weeping deep within the dark folds of earth.
Trees have such character and individuality, so much sense of history lived - I'm sorry for the loss of the Black Cherry.
ReplyDeleteThese photographs are all lovely, with the magic of anything showing a hummingbird, but I especially love the detail of the bee and just the tip of the bird's wing.
What an amazing sequence of photographs! Thank you for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteCarol these are amazing...framed as a sequence of pictures together they would be stunning in my house.....sorry about the Black Cherry...
ReplyDeleteDear Carol, I'm delighted you like both of the pictures I posted this morning. Yes, the second one was shot during a foggy morning, it's the overview of a little pier near the place I was born 3 decades ago. Light changes every hour in this part of Britany, this is a place of Heaven.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming from Massachussets! I've enlisted on your great blog followers list.
Is this bird a colibri? You have a great eye and a sharp camera, congrats!
